16-19 Tuition Fund
The 16 to 19 tuition fund has been established by the government to lessen the disturbance to learning brought on by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding has been set aside specifically for schools, colleges, and all other 16 to 19 providers.
Our share of this funding is £14,438 for 2023-24.
That is what the fund's recommendation indicates.
- This fund can be used to support students who do not receive a grade 4 pass in either or both of their English and maths GCSEs at the end of KS4.
- The fund can be used for any purpose in the learner's study plan, not just GCSE Maths and English.
- The eligible students and staff will determine and agree upon the need for support.
- The fund can be used to support students in deciding their Post 18 plans
Support typically takes the form of small-group instruction in addition to the scheduled teaching hours for that subject.
