At Whitefield School Sixth Form we offer a broad and ambitious curriculum where students engage with many amazing opportunities which lead to their success in all fields and industries. We offer a vast range of academic and vocational subjects  and support our students to make informed choices based on in-depth knowledge and expertise preparing them for success here and beyond.  We guide students to select their subject combinations carefully and offer tailored advice on their career pathways whether choosing to  go to university, completing apprenticeships or applying for jobs. In addition, we have forged many valuable partnerships with prestigious contacts including universities, colleges and companies.

We have high expectations of our students and both  being respectful and showing effort are integral parts of our Sixth Form culture and community. Students engage in a robust pastoral program during form times and receive targeted support both pastorally and academically. In addition, we have state of the art facilities and technology which students have access to at all times both during the school day and after school.

Teaching and Learning is core to our students' success and we support them to build vital organisational skills and habits to become active and independent learners. Moreover, our teaching staff are experts in their fields and plan a range of enrichment activities including guest speakers, trips and events. We provide an abundance of leadership opportunities where students can further develop their soft skills and use this in their next steps applications.

Building a sense of community and belonging is an important part of our Sixth Form and we work hard to build positive relationships with both students and parents.

If you have any questions regarding the Sixth Form or you would like to book a tour, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to greeting you into our Sixth Form.

Deputy Head of Sixth Form

I joined the PE department at Whitefield School in 2017. Having taught students across all year groups, I have experienced the growth and success of our students once completing their GCSEs. I am passionate about students maintaining this success in our Sixth Form whilst widening opportunities, networking and gaining essential skills to pursue aspirational careers. I have joined the Sixth Form team to inspire, motivate and encourage students towards reaching their full potential and securing positions in their desired destinations, whether that be university, apprenticeships or employment.

My role involves fully preparing students for university; giving support and guidance on UCAS applications, personal statements, subject and university choices and university life through induction days and professional workshops within school. I am also responsible for liaising with professional organisations to seek work experience opportunities and meeting the needs of our students to provide them with interview and employability training, increasing confidence when interacting with others and having the drive to excel.

Built on Whitefield’s fundamental values of being Ambitious, Respectful and showing Effort, Whitefield’s Sixth Form’s purpose is to ensure the future success of all our students.
