We are extremely happy to announce Whitefield School will be hosting the Barnet Youth Theatre Festival, in June 2025.

The festival invites schools to submit some of the best performances of original and devised work created by their Drama students. Spanning across all key-stages, the pieces can be part of GCSE or A-level NEA work or created as extra-curricular projects.

Whitefield will host a performance evening where friends, family, and members of the community can watch and experience the students’ work.

Research on theatre competitions in Barnet and London revealed a significant gap for Drama students to showcase original theatre or devising work. This festival aims to fill that void, providing a dedicated platform for young performers. We aim to provide valuable exposure for students, fostering their growth and passion for theatre.

The festival will play a crucial role in community engagement, offering exposure and support for student work and highlighting the importance of the Arts.
