Whitefield School has and will always be an internationally diverse community and we are privileged to be exposed to so many diverse cultures at school. Monday 13th May, we hosted a whole week of events to celebrate our international diversity. There were a number of events led by staff and students, that took place during break time, lunch time and form time. This is our annual celebration of everyone at Whitefield's varying heritage and culture and one of the most popular events in the school year.

This year our events included: an Australian Aboriginal art session plus Tim Tams, Irish Batiareacht, a Caribbean social with Caribbean refreshments and music, a Welsh cakes cooking class, Hip-hop dancing class, a geographical quiz, a screening of the film Wadjda and an ESEA room with origami.

Our students also led their own sessions, we had cultural lessons on Zimbabwe and how to count in Shona with Bethany, Portuguese for beginners with Gabriel and Chayanne, and Henna artowrk with Sumbl and Zinat.

At the end of the week, everyone was welcome to come to school in cultural attire to celebrate and show off their cultural heritage. This is the highlight of the week and which brings together the Whitefield school community in an inclusive display.
