Students at Whitefield School are celebrating an exceptional set of A Level results today, with many securing spots at top universities across the country. This year's achievements highlight the students' dedication, perseverance, and the unwavering support from the school’s committed staff. The A Level results have improved compared to 2023, with an average grade of C, a 6% increase in students achieving A to C grades, and an 8% increase in A to E grades. Our students proudly achieved six A* grades and 19 A grades.

Headteacher Chris Hunt said: "We have some remarkable individual stories of outstanding students who achieved top grades. One of these students is Sahar, who earned A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics, along with an A in Computing. Sahar is planning to apply to Cambridge University to study Maths after taking a gap year. Another standout is Andra, who secured A grades in French, Drama, History, and English Literature. She is heading to Oxford University to study French. This is an incredible accomplishment for both Andra and Whitefield School, and we are extremely proud of all that she has achieved."

There are more success stories to share: Daniela excelled academically, earning A grades in English Literature and History, along with a B in Psychology. Her remarkable achievements have secured her a place at King’s College London, where she will pursue her passion for history. Asghar, who earned ABB, will be joining her at King’s College after being accepted into the Extended Medical Degree Programme. Asghar offers this advice: "Don’t give up on yourself."

We are also thrilled for Mitali, who achieved AAA and will study History at Royal Holloway, University of London. Yash, who earned A*, Merit, and C, will pursue Games Art at the University of Westminster. Ilias, who earned Distinction, Merit, and C, will study Finance and Investment Banking at the University of Greenwich.

The celebrations extend beyond A Level students. Many students who pursued Level 3 vocational courses also achieved outstanding results. Among them are Menal (Distinction in Media and Travel & Tourism), Abigail (Distinction* in Media and Distinction in ICT), and Alberto (Distinction in Media and Travel & Tourism). Abigail will be attending The University of Greenwich to study Computer Science, while Alberto will study Interior Architecture at Middlesex University.

On results day, several students offered words of encouragement to their peers. Shayan, who achieved A in Computer Science, A in Maths, and B in Physics, remarked, "Opportunities multiply as they are seized!" Shayan will be studying Computer Science at City, University of London. Shaimah, who urged others to "believe in your teachers but more than that believe in yourself," achieved BBD and will study Nursing at Middlesex University.

Assistant Headteacher Louise Cavanagh expressed her joy, saying, "We are so proud of each and every one of our students. The Sixth Form Team has been helping them secure their next steps, and it’s been a pleasure to see their happy expressions today. The school sends its warmest wishes for success in all of their future endeavours."

As always, some students are choosing alternative paths, such as apprenticeships or entering the workforce. At Whitefield School, we believe in keeping options open and finding the right path for each student, so it’s wonderful to see them pursuing paths that best suit their aspirations.

We are incredibly proud of our students and wish them the very best of luck in the future.
